Returns and Exchanges
Need to return your product for a refund?
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your custom product, you can ask for a full refund excluding shipping and impression kit cost ($23). Sentinel Mouthguards must receive the returned item within 30 days of receiving the refund request. Refunds will be issued once we receive the returned product.
Please note Sentinel Mouthguards does not support purchases made from 3rd party vendors. There are no authorized re-sellers for our products and/or service. All purchases must be made through approved channels by Sentinel Mouthguards.

Would you like to exchange your product for a different type?
During your 30 day satisfaction guarantee period, you may choose a different guard type and/or choose a different thickness. If there is a price difference, you will either be billed via PayPal invoice for remaining amount due or receive a credit if guard type chosen is less in value.
Exchanges do not include changing to the opposing teeth arch.
You may choose to exchange your guard within 30 days from the date you receive your guard. Contact us to start that process.
Expedited service fee
Our expedited service fee is non-refundable but will be honored for any remake needed.
Payments received for expedited shipping services cannot be refunded. Sentinel Mouthguards is not responsible for any shipping delays resulting from mail carrier issues.
I had dental work after my custom mouth guard was received. Can I get a new one made?
Sentinel Mouthguards is not responsible for a guard that no longer fits if dental work was performed after the fabrication date of the guard. As we cannot anticipate future dental work, we cannot provide a refund or remake your guard after new dental work has been completed. In the event your dental anatomy changes after purchase, you will need to make a new purchase and take a new dental impression.
I received my kit but decided not to move forward. Can I still return?
If the kit is used/opened and you decide to return the impression kit within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund minus $15 restocking fee.
Unopened impression kit returned within 30 days from purchase will receive full refund.
How long do I have to return the dental impression?
All impressions must be returned within 6 months of purchase for the order to be fulfilled. Sentinel Mouthguards reserves the right to reject or cancel any dental impression received after 6 months from purchase date.
Additional dental impression kits:
One complimentary dental impression kit (with extra putty for a 2nd attempt) will be given free of charge in the event a successful dental impression was not made using the first kit provided. Afterwards, customers can purchase additional kits on our website for $15 each.
If you do not wish to move forward due to issues taking a successful dental impression, a refund may be given (provided the order was placed within the 30 day return window) minus impression kit cost and S+H. Cost is $23
Fit issues with new guard?
Fit issues must be brought to our attention within 30 days of receiving your custom guard.
We offer free adjustments. All adjustments requests must be made within 30 days of receiving the new custom product.
If a new impression kit is needed, we will send it to you free of charge. You may purchase any additional impression kits for $15 on our website.
If fit issues continue after 30 days, we will work with you up to 90 days and extend the option for refund up to 90 days. Original issue must be brought to our attention within 30 days of receiving the custom product.
Third molar (wisdom teeth) information:
As an industry standard, wisdom teeth are not typically included in the making of your custom mouth guard product. While we can do so on request, the 3rd molars must be clearly impressed and the request must be submitted prior to night guard fabrication. For new impressions required due to 3rd molar issues, a $15 impression kit fee will be assessed.
I have an existing dental impression. Can I send it in for you to use?
We prefer customers to take dental impressions using our system. This way, we can ensure your impression is accurate and up-to-date. Dental anatomy can shift overtime so an impression that was taken more than 6 months ago will not be accepted.
However, if you have an existing dental impression from your dentist that is less than 6 months old and you know it is an accurate mold of your current dental anatomy, you can mail it in to us in lieu of taking a new dental impression using our system.
We will provide you with a printable .pdf return label to ship your impression to us. Please be aware if any damage occurs to dental mold, we are not responsible for damage and dental mold will not be returned.
Adjustments
If you're experiencing an issue with your newly received guard such as tightness or a rough edge/spot, we can typically resolve this by adjusting the guard.
Sentinel Mouthguards is committed to customer satisfaction and all fees associated with adjustments will be covered by us (including shipping and handling). The appropriate adjustment is determined after careful evaluation of each guard by Sentinel Mouthguards quality control team. All adjustments will be completed within (1) business day of receiving the returned guard for a fast turnaround time.
When deemed necessary, Sentinel Mouthguards will also provide a new impression kit if required. Adjustments and impression kits are provided at the sole discretion of Sentinel Mouthguards.
International Customers Policy
At Sentinel Mouthguards, we value our international customers and strive to provide the best service and products. However, there are specific considerations and responsibilities for international customers outlined in this policy:
Postage Costs for Dental Impressions: International customers are responsible for the postage cost to mail their dental impressions to our facility in the United States. Due to regulations set by the USPS, prepaid postage on mailers entering the US from outside the country is not allowed. Therefore, customers are required to cover the postage expenses associated with sending their dental impressions.
Dental Night Guard Adjustments: In the event that adjustments are needed for a dental night guard, international customers are responsible for the postage cost to mail the dental night guard back to us. This ensures that any necessary modifications or refinements can be made to meet the customer's requirements. The return postage expenses for adjustments are the responsibility of the customer.
Allow Ample Time for Delivery: International orders may experience longer delivery times due to transportation and customs processes. We advise international customers to allow ample time for their orders to reach their destination. Please consider potential delays and factor them into your planning when placing orders from outside the United States.
