They usually work but the glue isn't great!

I've gotten several of them during the last 2 years. They usually have a good quality but this last one hasn't been great. The two layers has been separating within the last 2 weeks.

Not as good as I hoped. The instructions indicate to wear the trays for 2-4 hours or overnight. I thought that seemed like a long time, but opted for overnight since it was on the instructions card. I definitely regret it. While I was getting ready for bed, I felt shooting pain in one of my molars, but it went away so I went to bed. I fell asleep around midnight, was aware of the trays for most of the night (even though I normally sleep with a night guard), and then fully woke up at 5am in pretty severe pain. I know from experience that tooth pain that wakes you up or prevents you from sleeping is nerve pain. I got up and removed the trays, hoping that would alleviate it. The pain did not go away and prevented me from being able to fall back asleep (even though I was tired). I expected some tooth sensitivity from whitening, but not severe pain that was enough to make me wince. Advil did very little to help. The results are minimal at best, and certainly not worth the amount of pain I've experienced. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to use the remaining whitening gel, but I certainly won't be able to leave it on for long.

Didn't work for me. Couldn't get the impression right. Still, they tried and sent me a full refund. Good company just not for me.

There are serious design flaws with this night guard and it is not meant to last for long- allow me to explain. I have had this mouth guard for about 2 years now. Over time despite regular cleaning, drying it off after cleaning, cleaning the container- there were gross brown spots that formed. Presumably some kind of mold/mildew growth. I couldn’t seem to get rid of them despite even regular ultra sonic cleaning. They seemed to somehow be embedded in the soft layer of the mouth guard. If you look at the “articles” on sentinel’s website trouble shooting various things they allude to these brown spots. So- I resigned to the fact that they were somehow expected and perhaps I wasn’t diligent enough at some point while owning it. Well, I discovered the problem. The soft layer and the hard layer are not fused or sealed in a way that keeps water from gradually seeping in between them. I noticed this when examining the guard closely and being frustrated by the brown spots after 6 months of even more frequent cleaning and diligently DRYING it. When fiddling with it I saw that the soft layer easily separates from the hard layer. I proceeded to peel the whole thing off- and low and behold- the brown spots of mildew were BETWEEN the soft and hard layer which cannot be accessed by normal cleaning or brushing! After cleaning both layers separately the brown mildew spots easily washed away. I have been cleaning and drying for the past month twice a day each layer after separating them from each other. It is annoying and more labor intensive- but has kept any more spots from forming. This is a serious design flaw I think that the layers are not SEALED and water tight. The other flaw which has come much to my dismay, is the fact that a crack has formed. I do have moderate bruxism- but I expected this night guard to last longer. I purchased this because the cost for a night guard from my dentist would have costed $500. However, I may have gone with that if I had known the short life of these sentinel night guards if I have to be replacing them every couple years- where as one from the dentist could last for several more years. I think that part of the reason these sentinel night guards don’t last is how small they are. They only cover the lower portion of your teeth- which I know they site the reason for that is for comfort and no need to cover the whole teeth. BUT this makes the mouth guard thinner in width and more susceptible to being compromised. All in all- I wouldn’t recommend this night guard and would hope that the company improve their product.

I bought one of these and at first it seemed great. Unfortunately, in less than a year I had bitten through it on one side and the other side had the softer part separate from the harder part. I had two others from the dentist that lasted 6 years and 10 years. (I bet they would have lasted longer, but my dog chewed them up.) I contacted the company and they offered to replace it. I thought, yeah! That's great customer service. Sadly, the replacement never arrived. All-around disappointing experience. I gave two stars because the night guard did keep my teeth straight and it did help with clenching before it was unusable. However, lasting less than a year is NOT worth this price.
